Se han anunciados las primeras bandas invitadas para el SXSW de 2013 que se realizará del 12 a 17 marzo 2013 en Austin, Texas. El festival sigue manteniendo su espíritu y esencia al ser un escaparate para bandas provenientes de diversos puntos del planeta, pero aún dominan las propuestas noerteamericanas al igual que del Reino Unido.
En este primer anuncio se mencionan nombres ya de la casa como ALT-J, sin dejar las agrupaciones interesantes provenientes de Latinoamérica como los argentinos de Nubes en mi Casa a quién entrevistamos hace poco; del mismo país se encuentran Mompox y Les Mentettes. De México hasta ahora se han anunciado a Turbina, Pumcayó y Huehuetl. De la península española estarán Supersubmarina y Remate; PAJARO y HolySexyBastards de Venezuela, y de Chile The Holydrug Couple y Follakzoid.
